Skilled Phone Repair Technician - Job Vacancies (2500 Positions)

The Technopolis Association of Kenya is hiring Doorstep Mobile Repair Technicians to provide on-site device fixes, offering flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and rapid field deployment across regional tech hubs. 

This project provides a framework for equipping unemployed mobile phone technicians with mobile toolkit assets and connecting them to customers via a localized digital dispatch application.

• Target Beneficiaries: Unemployed youth and artisan technicians (aged 18–35) across the county's wards.
• Alignment: Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) – MSME and Youth Livelihoods Pillar.

Project Overview & Objectives

• Core Goal: Provide startup repair toolkits and a digital booking framework to unemployed youth.
• Target Group: Certified TVET and informal sector mobile repair technicians across the counties.
• Operational Model: On-demand, doorstep-based diagnostic and repair services booked through a shared county digital platform.
• BETA Alignment: Directly supports the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) economy and Digital Superhighway pillars of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

Technicians will provide prompt, high-quality hardware and software diagnostics and repairs directly at clients' locations within our innovation ecosystem and smart city zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site diagnoses and repairs for smartphones and tablets (screen replacements, battery swaps, port repairs, and software flashing).
• Provide professional, polite customer service during doorstep dispatches.
• Maintain accurate digital logs of service requests and parts used via our mobile dispatch app. 
• Ensure safe handling of customer data and premium repair tools.
