Job Description
Technopolis Association of Kenya (TAK) is seeking a visionary Head of Doorstep Mobile Repair to lead, scale, and manage our new nationwide on-demand mobile repair service. This senior leadership role requires a strategic operator who can merge technical excellence with seamless logistics to deliver elite device repair directly to consumers' doorsteps.

- Design the operational blueprint for the doorstep mobile repair arm.
- Launch and scale the doorstep mobile repair service model across targeted urban areas.
- Define service level agreements (SLAs) for technician arrival and repair times.
- Develop growth strategies to meet revenue targets and expand service coverage.
- Establish key metrics for customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and technician performance.
- Scale the business unit from a pilot phase to a nationwide operation.
- Oversee the dispatch, routing, and scheduling systems for mobile technicians.
- Optimize inventory control for high-quality spare parts and tools.
- Implement strict quality assurance protocols for all field repairs.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a fleet of certified mobile repair technicians.
- Establish continuous training programs on the latest smartphone technologies.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs like first-time fix rates and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with the IT team to optimize the customer booking app and technician portal.
- Introduce eco-friendly waste management practices for e-waste disposal.
- Stay ahead of consumer tech trends to expand repair capabilities (e.g., tablets, wearables).
Requirements
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing field operations, logistics, or a large-scale tech repair service.
- Proven track record of scaling an on-demand or last-mile delivery service business.
- Deep understanding of the mobile hardware industry and supply chains.
- Proficiency with dispatch, CRM, and inventory management software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and crisis-management abilities.
- Native fluency in English and Swahili.
